I'm intrigued on how you developed your process. Mainly because I think that some advice on that is necessary (for me at least). I don't think I have such a defined process yet.

My process is just a result of me doing what feels right from a creative
stand point, even if it was not, or is not, accepted by those that stand
strong or preach their own formal process. And, I wouldn't say my process
is always the same.

However, there are little strategies I use, such as literally "brain
dumping" everything I am interested in, understand, or don't understand
about a given topic, and building a piece out that way. This often requires
cutting out irrelevant information at the end, but, it makes the process
more interesting.
